Having upgraded my membership to the 1-year variety, I thought I would take a stab at Newsline II. Other than being a little outdated (Joomla 1.5.3), I think it is adequate for what I want to do (I can upgrade to 1.5.8).
Still, I need a little help getting the JW FLV player to play the videos in Newsline II.
Heres whats going on:
1. The JW Player shows (loads).
2. All video thumbnails show. That means Joomla sees them in templates/newsline2/jw_player/thumbs.
3. The JW Player XML list sees the list of videos in templates/newsline2/jw_player/playlist.xml
4. Clicking on any thumbnail (or the huge out-of-focus large pictures) starts the player, but it doesnt find the video.
5. The player moves from one video to the next, as if searching for ANY video, has no luck, then goes black. If you hit the stop button, the process starts all over again; i.e., things look normal until you want to play any video on the playlist.
Heres what Ive done so far:
1. Browsed all forums for Newsline II and JW Player. Nothing seem to fit my scenario.
2. Reinstalled both Newsline II and the joomla database twice.
3. Tried to change the scripts to match the example given in the Newsline demo.

The YJ FLV Player is working just fine, however.
I do not look at this problem as the loss of an entire Sunday, but rather as another chance to excel. Any ideas will be most appreciated. Ive tried everything I know and have read, and am completely out of ideas.
